Jeep cherokee tahun 1995 masih menggunakan OBD1 dan cara mengakses trouble code, yang menyebabkan lampu check engine menyala adalah dengan melihat jumlah kedipan yang ditunjukan oleh lampu check engine.
Cara Melihat atau Membaca Kedip Lampu Check Engine Cherokee
1. Putar kunci kontak dari OFF ke ON sebanyak tiga kali, urutannya yaitu OFF ke ON, OFF ke ON dan terakhir OFF ke ON, lakuan prosedur ini kurang dari 5 detik.
2. Saat OFF ke ON yang ketiga, biarkan kunci kontak berada di posisi ON, setelah itu lampu check engine menyala sebentar kemudian mati, setelah mati lampu check engine akan berkedip dan menunjukan data trouble code.
3. Misal Trouble Code 24 akan ditunjukkan dengan kedipan, yaitu kedip 2 kali jeda sebentar kemudian kedip 4 kali.
Kembali ke judul artikel Jeep Cherokee tahun 1995 Mesin mrebet dan Lampu check engine nyala. Pada kasus yang ditemui menunjukan data trouble berurutan yaitu kode 12 (Satu Dua), Kode 41( Empat Satu) , Kode 24 (Dua Empat) dan Kode 55 (Lima Lima).
Dari kode error yang ditunjukan oleh kedipan indikator check engine, kode yang relevan dengan permasalahan mesin mrebet atau nyendat adalah kode error 24(dua empat) yang artinya terdapat masalah pada TPS atau Thottle Posisition Sensor.
Hanya saja pada kasus yang saya temui, saya tidak perlu mengganti TPS, entah apakah karena faktor keberuntungan atau bukan, setelah saya hentakan secara cepat katup gas dalam kondisi mesin hidup secara tiba-tiba mesin normal kembali.

If you get poor cold driveability, stumbling and bucking, and acceptable warm driving with poor gas mileage (a drop of 10 mpg or more), that is usually the O2 sensor.
